Self-Tape and Audition Ready?

Your audition is the single most important asset you have to get you through the front door of your perfect role. It is the first thing potential casting directors and the audition panel will see, so getting this right first time is important. This is a practical course where you will learn how an audition panel sees you: learn how to handle an in person audition as well as undertake self-tapes.

To get the most out of this course you need to be prepared to prep beforehand. You will be expected to learn audition material and therefore must be prepared to prep outside course hours.

What will we cover

Cold reading of unseen material/sight-reading
Characterisation and thought processes for audition material
Making the most of online auditions and self-tapes.
Casting types
Industry audition processes

Objectives:

Identify suitable casting and roles
Find casting notices if you do not have representation
Navigate the audition room and understand what is expected of you
Confidently approach a cold read.
Undertake professional self-tapes

What to bring:

Comfortable clothing should be worn.
Phone with Camera

Entry Requirements:

Participants need to be 16+ and there is no upper age limit
There is no upper age limit for this course. However, this is a physically demanding course. Participants must be reasonably fit.
Fluent and confident knowledge of the English language is essential.

*Please note that acting classes by their very nature can involve exercises and the exploration of material and topics that some students may find challenging.

There is an option to attend either an in-person or online workshop
